От XII в. дошло пять латинских прозиметров, подражающих Боэцию. Два из них, самые поздние, теперь доступны русскому читателю: «Космография» Бернарда Сильвестра в переводе О. С. Воскобойникова и «Плач Природы» Алана Лилльского в переводе Р.Л. Шмаракова (Шартрская школа, 2018). Перевод трактата «О тождественном и различном» Аделарда Батского был опубликован нами позже (Аделард Батский, Шмараков, 2018). Остаются непереведенными «Сетование и столкновение духа и плоти» Хильдеберта Лаварденского и «Утешение о смерти друга» Лаврентия Даремского.

Например, «quem profanum» (Boet. Cons. I.pr.1.10) преосв. Феофилакт переводит «погруженному въ свѣтскія забавы, и ослѣпленному мирскими суетами человѣку», а на месте «Quae tametsi conditoris opera suique distinctione postremae aliquid pulchritudinis trahunt, infra vestram tamen excellentiam collocatae admirationem vestram nullo modo merebantur» (Boet. Cons. II.pr.5.10) читаем: «Камни яко произведеніе строителя чудеснаго, коему угодно было для различія повелѣть возникнуть изъ Хаоса однимъ свѣтящимъ, а другимъ прозрачнымъ и темнымъ тѣламъ; хотя одарены красотою совершенною въ своемъ родѣ: но въ отношеніи къ природѣ человѣчества очень много упадая въ цѣнѣ не заслуживаютъ особеннаго вниманія» (Боэций, Русанов, 1809: 56-57), и это не исключения, а систематически проводимый переводчиком метод.
