Chapter 5

friar tuck

Little John shot an arrow at it from his big bow (Малыш Джон выпустил в него стрелу из своего большого лука), and the deer fell dead (и олень упал замертво; to fall — падать; становиться, перейти в определенное состояние; to fall dead — упасть замертво).

«That was a good shot, Little John (это был хороший выстрел, Малыш Джон),» said Much the miller's son (сказал Мук, сын мельника).
