30 лет назад — в № 2, 3, 4 за 1980 год напечатан роман Владимира Орлова “Альтист Данилов”.

40 лет назад — в № 2 за 1970 год напечатан рассказ Федора Абрамова “Деревянные кони. Из рассказов Олены Даниловны”.

70 лет назад — в № 2, 3 за 1940 год печаталась четвертая книга романа Михаила Шолохова “Тихий Дон”.

SUMMARY

Note: This issue contains some materials dedicated to culture and literature of ancient and modern Japan.

The prose section offers the book of interview “Meetings on Rue de Dunkerque” — Aleksander Lebedev talks about free creative work and relationship of writer and authority with well-known emigrant writer Evgeny Ternovsky. Also there are the short stories by Elena Dolgopyat “The Miserly Knight”, by Georgy Davydov “A Gust of Wind” and by Aleksander Kormashov “Hoch Deutsch”. The poetry section of this issue is composed of the new poems by Inna Lisnyanskaya, Vitaly Naumenko, Aleksander Kushner, Evgeny Chigrin.

Close and Distant: The memoirs of Mikhail Lvovsky “So It Has Been Stuck In My Memory” about poet David Samoilov.

Essais: “Ars Poetica — 2010” by Aleksandr Zholkovsky — a trial of philology investigation in verse form.

Comments: Alla Latynina’s article “Epitaph to People of the Sixties” is dedicated to the last novel by Vasily Aksenov “The Mysterious Passion”.

Literature Critique: The article by Aleksander Chantsev “A Turn Round in Postwar Japan: Yukio Mishima about War and Peace”.
